Between the 20th – 23rd of September, EchoStar Mobile will be exhibiting and presenting at InnoTrans 2022, the place to discover world innovation in transport technology. This post explores what visitors can expect at this global exhibition and provides a sneak preview of what EchoStar Mobile will share there.
What is InnoTrans 2022?
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology. With 42 exhibition halls, more than 2,770 exhibitors from 56 countries and over 150,000 trade visitors expected, InnoTrans is thriving in its thirteenth edition. The trade fair is subdivided into five segments: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. As well occupying all 42 halls available in the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, InnoTrans offers a unique outdoor and track display area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains is showcased.
InnoTrans also offers the InnoTrans Convention, a forum for topical discussions with top-decision makers in the transportation sector. As an in-person event, it will also be streamed live and available on demand post-InnoTrans2022. Expect high-profile panel debates and expert presentations on current and future challenges and how the industry is developing solutions.
What innovations can we expect?
InnoTrans 2022 will showcase more world innovations than ever, around 250 from every market. For example, focused on sustainability, the Swiss company Axon Vibe will be displaying its AI-controlled mobility and loyalty platform that encourages eco-friendly travel while Hitachi will present its Energy RESIBLOC® Rail 25 kV with an integrated cooling system. Meanwhile, with safety as the core objective, Rail Vision will exhibit its driver assistance system that harnesses AI and advanced electro-optical sensors, while the French enterprise Crouze shows how AI can enable self-diagnostic routines to preclude failure and improve the reliability of railway systems.
Throughout the exhibition, trade visitors and press can participate in daily world innovation tours, which offer the chance to quiz senior company representatives on their latest developments.
What will EchoStar Mobile be sharing?
EchoStar Mobile will be exhibiting at InnoTrans 2022 in Hall 7.1b, stand 435, with our core message being ‘Connecting Critical Infrastructure Throughout Europe.’ We will share how our new single pan-European S-band LoRa®-enabled IoT network delivers exceptional value to the transport industry, particularly where assets span wide areas or move across borders.
Discover how its ubiquitous coverage across Europe, the UK and Scandinavia avoids the time-consuming and budget-heavy process of managing multiple roaming agreements and subscriptions. Instead, it offers the convenience and simplicity of one single network with seamless connectivity across the area. We also share the cost-efficiency and high-performance capabilities of this solution and how it can be easily integrated into current LoRa® technology without the need for specialist intervention.
As part of the EchoStar Mobile team attending the event, our General Manager, Telemaco Melia, will be at our stand, ready to discuss the opportunities and challenges of rolling out a pan-European LoRaWAN network delivered over satellite. Of course, he’ll also be happy to answer any questions on his latest motorcycle adventure, where he tested out the capabilities of our pan-European LoRa®-enabled IoT network at the extreme latitude of 71°N!
